Target group
We offer company trainees support in learning all topics of floristry that are relevant for examinations. Specially adapted to the framework curriculum for florists, our master florists train and work with the next generation of professionals on technically correct designs and in solid as well as creative techniques and explain and demonstrate the most diverse approaches to floristry.

What you learn
The focus is on the apprentices' own experimentation in a calm learning environment. A close exchange with the apprenticeship companies is strived for in order to also support special company requests. By learning in a small group, detached from the daily business routine, with great flowers and natural products, the apprentices have an intensive training of the basics up to the exam preparation with economic as well as environmental aspects.
We offer the possibility of a comprehensive supplement to the training in the specialised companies.

When
The timing of the weekly courses is coordinated with vocational school times, the course of the year and the requirements of the framework curriculum.

Course contents

1st year of apprenticeship:

Bouquets and cuttings
The techniques and design basics for the most important workpieces in everyday floristry are learnt and practised together. The various possibilities of tying and cutting can be tried out and refined without any pressure. The approaches for those starting out in their careers are always taught according to economic efficiency and possible applications in the shops. The materials are included in the course fees.

Basics of the floristry trade Wreath making and planting
How do you work with wreaths, how do you wire materials professionally and design a suitable flower arrangement? What does an examination-relevant planting involve? We explain the theory and practise in small groups. The materials are included in the course fees.

2nd year of training:

Intermediate exam preparation
Written and practical exercises on the required tasks provide complete preparation for the two parts of the intermediate exam. Materials are included in the course fees.

2nd & 3rd year of apprenticeship:

Bride and table exam topics
This course prepares you practically for the bridal and table exam topics under exam conditions. We practise the approaches according to customer types and occasions and decide on the designs. Sketching and calculating are just as much a part of this course as technical solutions and designing the workpieces.

Examination topics of the complex examination task Space and mourning
In this course, you will work on the topics corresponding to the mourning and room decoration framework syllabus. You will gain experience in the approach. The required sketching and calculation will be practised. Ideas for the subject areas are collected, technical solutions are tested and creative realisations are tried out in accordance the examination requirements. The materials are included in this course. Elements suitable for your ideas can be brought along for practising.

3rd year of apprenticeship:

Preparation for the final examination in sketching and calculation
Your ideas are in demand and will be practised in relation to the exam situation and tried out in writing and in practice. You will gain experience in how to approach an examination task. Our experienced lecturers will advise you so that you are well prepared for the exam with your ideas. Elements suitable for your ideas can be brought along for practising. The materials are included in this course.

Preparation for the practical exam
Together we will prepare the bouquet, cuttings, planting and complex examination task according to the examination conditions. Your ideas are in demand and will be practised and assessed in relation to the examination situation.

Our experienced instructors will support you with advice, ideas and tricks so that you are well prepared for the exam. You will need to bring suitable materials with you to this course

Aim of the training
The aim of the supplementary courses for training in the florist business is to provide comprehensive vocational skills.
We are happy to help teach basic competences and necessary skills, knowledge and abilities for the intermediate and final examinations of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce l Occupation Florist*.
* Recognised training occupation based on the Ordinance on Vocational Training for Florists of 28.02.1997 (BGBI. Teil I S. 396 of 06.03.1997)
